Asteroids is a classic 1979 vector-graphics shooter where you fly a wedge-shaped ship through a parade of oncoming asteroids and the occasional UFO. You rotate, boost, and blast a pulse-pumped cannon to blast giant rocks into small, sharp fragments, dodging crashes while racking up points—hyperspace jumps are an-risky escape when surrounded.

The upright cabinet adds to the space-age atmosphere of Asteroids with inclined side panels featuring yellow-and-orange glowing radiating graphic asteroids on a black field. A backlighted marquee flashes “ASTEROIDS” in vector letters above a 19″ CRT, with the inclined metal control panel, designed for ergonomic accommodation, featuring tactile switches for rotate left, rotate right, thrust, fire, and hyperspace, surrounded by sci-fi decals and containing a mono speaker crackling with blastful sound effects.
